| Abstract: | Synapses are a building block of signal processing and computation in neuronal cell's networks. We present concept and simulation results of a pseudo five-bit, low power silicon synapse circuit capable of emulating both excitatory (NMDA/AMPA type) and inhibitory (GABA type) responses. The post synaptic current generated in this circuit is proportional to the difference between the post synaptic membrane potential and a tunable synaptic reversal potential. |
